ABC News reporter forcefully arrested for photographing lobbyists and political donors at DNC

ABC News reporter Asa Eslocker was apprehended by Denver police outside of the Brown Palace Hotel for the crime of filming high-powered lobbyists and Democratic donors for a story. Video footage shows an officer shoving Eslocker off of a public sidewalk into the street and then berating him for obstructing traffic. Eslocker was arrested several minutes later, with the officers grabbing Eslocker's throat and twisting his arm into an unnatural position despite his lack of physical resistance.

DNC protester Alicia Forrest struck, slammed to the ground

Alicia Forrest, a member of anti-war group CodePink, was struck and slammed to the ground by Denver police officer Scott Stewart outside of the Denver City & County Building during the protests surrounding the 2008 Democratic National Convention. Despite the incident being caught on tape and being seen by multiple witnesses, the Denver D.A. declined to press charges against the officer involved.

Mark Ashford attacked while walking his dogs

Mark Ashford was a bystander to a traffic stop in the vicinity of 20th and Little Raven while walking his two dogs. Upon offering to serve as a witness to the individual being stopped by the Denver police officers, the two officers chose to apprehend Ashford with severe force.
